London walking tour in Chelsea area

Today’s London walking tour we start in South West London, in particular Chelsea.
Chelsea is a residential area, known among locals as quite posh area. The neighbourhood does not have an underground station. If you are making your way there, you need to get the Circle or District lines to Sloane Square or South Kensington, on the Piccadilly Line. The walk from both stations is short and you could enjoy the nice architecture of the buildings. Chelsea spreads all the way to Battersea Park, which is quite a nice place for a walk or cup of coffee.

Chelsea Bridge

Right after the park, we see the magnificent and spacious Chelsea Bridge. Walking through the bridge, we can enjoy the views from every angle. On one side is Battersea Park – huge green space on the South bank of the river Thames. On the other side on a clear day you will be able to see all the way to the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Truly beautiful view!

Sloane Street

Moving further in our London walking tour, we continue through Sloane Street. This is the right place for all of you who love shopping. Sloane Street is familiar among Londoners who are fashion lovers. It is also popular for the high end brands. You will not see fast fashion industry brands there. From both sides of the street you will find temptation in the luxury stores like Balenciaga, Cartier, Chanel, Dolce & Gabana, Armani, Fendi, Gucci, Prada and many more. Even if you are not a fan of shopping, this street is worth visiting just to catch a glimpse of the colourful decorated shop windows.
We keep walking to reach Sloane Square, a famous residential square with luxurious apartments. There you can also find nice coffee shops and restaurants.

End of our London walking tour – Knightsbridge

The square leads to Knightsbridge. The area is recognizable for the famous all over the world luxury department store Harrods. It’s unique architecture in red bricks and being home for numerous luxury brands, Harrods is one of the most visited shopping centres in London.
Knightsbridge area is retail district, full of shops and offices. There are some residential buildings as well, most of which have amazing view to Hyde Park, located on the other side. The neighbourhood has good transport links via the London Underground station Knightsbridge.
